Charlotte Area Real Estate Market Statistics for June

In June 2008, we had 2,218 single family homes close, while 1,934 homes went under contract. This number is down slightly from May, but is still the second highest number in 2008.
Sales prices are at the highest $240,003 since August 2007, which is good news for Charlotte area sellers that price their home right.

At last night’s Charlotte City Council meeting, they approved money to purchase $15million worth of light rail cars due to overwhelming response (and higher gas prices) to the system. Unfortunately, it will take 2 years for the cars to be delivered, but at least they’re on their way!
