Mixed-use Communities and Grocery Stores?

Continuing on with thoughts on mixed-use communities, such as the proposed Village at Lake Norman, I often wonder why do they seldom include grocery stores?  With the original idea of the mixed-use areas to include shops where residents had daily living necessities within walking distance, why wouldn’t developers include a super market/grocery store in the plans?  I foresee the [...]

It’s Approved! The Village at Lake Norman (Part 1) is approved!
